TV Documentaries Siries “Macanao, footprints in time” In 2010 I travelled to the Macanao peninsula to start my ethnographic field work. I began late in 2010 and finished in June, 2014.

As a positive result of this ethnological research -which in 2013 already had a complete ethnographic data base of the community- I was able to make an audiovisual project called “Macanao, huellas en el tiempo” (“Macanao, footprints in time”).

The project is about the clashing discourses of anthropology and medicine, and of the community’s perception of the reason why genetic illness occurs in their families.

This project is being executed right now and will air next April, 2016, on the digital TV channel CONCIENCIATV, belonging to the Ministry for Popular Power of Higher Education, Science and Technology. Teresita and The Piano: Ethnomusic research on the life and work of the pianist Venezuelan 19th century Teresa Carreno.
